How to Do a Basic Tea Leaf Reading:

• Boil water
• Place 1 tsp. of whole loose leaf tea in a white or light-colored tea cup
• Pour water
• Let it steep for 3-5 minutes
• Drink the tea 
• Leave tea leaves and a tiny amount of liquid in the cup
• Place saucer on top of cup
• Swirl the cup and saucer clockwise three times
• Quickly flip the cup and saucer so that the cup is upside down and the liquid drains into the saucer
• Leave upside down for 30-60 seconds
• Turn cup right side up and look for silhouettes of symbols

Once you become adept at seeing the symbols and interpreting them, you can start looking at timings of events using the handy cheat sheet.
